Apart 120 Speaker Kit
Es funktioniert immer wieder: Give a small box a little more level in the upper bass range and it willimmer voll und komplett klingen. That worked with our last Cheap Trick and thatfunktioniert noch viel besser bei der Apart 120. Okay, if you take it very precisely, you canSubstance in the lowest layers is missing, but when you just listen to music, the mini floorstander convinces.with power and dynamics in the bass, clean vocal reproduction and clear and precise highs that theFolienhochtöner dynamically and finely resolved reproduces. And yes, the small box can also handle volume.and then it also pushes a lot of air – you can and should let the small Dayton bass worklet. This does not just end in a short "Oh, the little one can be really loud" effect, but also works permanently, as the clean and dynamic sound is thoroughly suitable for long-term use.Good box!

Small Box, Big Impact!
The new Signature Chassis from Dayton Audio are quite attractive and affordable. Astable yet delicate cast basket with 6 mounting holes offers more than enough support. Theinverse aluminum dome membrane is extremely robust and black anodized.
The Apart 120 has proven itself as a small floor-standing and sideboard speaker. With its slim design andslightly angled positioning convinced them the most in our rooms. Initially, it was alonger and deeper tuned line planned, but for a bit more level stability, aAbstimmung omitted at 45Hz. This works absolutely satisfactorily, as we find. A -3dB-Point at 70Hz, which extends to 60Hz depending on room acoustics, ensures tight bass without excessivewummernd zu wirken. The frequency response shows a gentle decrease over the entire range, with abovefrom 12kHz there is still a slight increase to note, which, however, does not make a noticeable difference in sound. The crossover frequency is at 2000Hz with an 18dB slope, an impedance linearization, andVoltage divider before the tweeter, which works wonderfully with resistance values in a 12-series +1dB/-1dBcan be regulated.
The insulation is easy to perform. At the beginning (in the tapered part), it is tightly packed, with aMatte polyester batting in the format 45-50cm x 45-50cm is used, which reaches up to the top edge of theSeparation component is sufficient. At the larger end of the line, below the BR pipe, another mat is placed withapproximately 45cm x 45cm polyester wadding tightly rolled, so that the inner end of the tube remains free.
The tweeter is already well-known and has impressed multiple times under various names. The emptyFach hinter dem Hochtöner bietet Platz für die Frequenzweiche (Note: During the later assembly of theSoft should this be constructed in a more elongated manner, taking into account the cutout dimensions of the tweeter.should be). When attaching the mounting frame for the tweeter, care should be taken becausethe frame is very delicate and can bend if too much screwing pressure is applied. The soldering of theHochtöners should be avoided, as excessive heat can damage the foil. With the SIG120-4, this isSoldering, on the other hand, is harmless as it is the safest connection. A socket plate or otherstabilizing measures should definitely be considered.
The kit also includes 2x1.5qmm speaker cable (by the meter) and flat connectors for crimping, aConnection terminal with solid gold-plated screw terminals as well as elegant hexagon socket wood screws forMounting of chassis and terminal. Of course, we also offer housing options, from simple MDF-Housing with baffle and milled openings for the chassis (also rear-milled) up to the finishedglued and/or lacquered enclosure. Baffle and kit are standard in raw MDF orblack through-dyed MDF available. Special requests such as plywood or real wood are of coursealso fulfilled.
