Celine is a two-way system of the boundary areas.
The AMT from the German manufacturer Mundorf® with an effective diaphragm area of 68.1 cm² is the flagship of the new AMT U series and, in contrast to conventional tweeter domes with diameters from 19 to 32 mm, thus a maximum of 8.04 cm², simply a superior solution.Mouthorf AMT membraneare unique in their form. It is characterized by its exceptionally high internal damping and extremely low distortion values. This applies especially to the odd harmonic distortions K3 and K5. The guarantee for the highest level reserves with an enormous fine resolution of the ultra-light membrane. From 1500Hz, the AMT never plays itself into the foreground. It exemplarily and dynamically traces every smallest impulse of the music. Its companion is an RS270P-4 from the reference series by Dayton Audio. The aluminum die-cast basket houses a lightweight paper membrane, and a phase plug centrally dominates the optical appearance. The lightweight paper membrane was already chosen for the smaller sister model "Melodie 8018" in two sizes smaller, and also convinces in the larger version with detailed midrange, impressive bass, and the overall performed presentation seamlessly coarse and fine dynamic. This makes it the first choice whenever life-performance volume needs to be realised at long listening distances - such as with very large floorstanding speakers or in home cinema use. Due to its front panel geometry, it is ideally suited for stacking several tweeters vertically in a line. This places the AMT U160W1.1 on the borderline of sound reinforcement technology. The tweeters of our AMT U.series have become very popular among demanding DIY loudspeaker builders. To meet their demands for precise, uncomplicated front mounting and a high-quality finish, every U.Series model is now also supplied with an attractive black aluminium front panel. A precisely fitting cut-out in the back of the 6mm! thick panel ensures that the AMT motor unit is perfectly centred and can be integrated flush into the baffle with an enlarged contact surface.
