About the enclosure

This enclosure is designed specifically for the Dayton Audio 12" Ultimax subwoofer.
During the CNC manufacturing process, folds and joints are cut into the back panel to precisely align the panels. A unique two-piece brace provides superior rigidity without compromising the subwoofer's performance. Both side panels feature folded extensions with cutouts to perfectly fit the first piece of the two-piece, double-thickness baffle.

The end result is a resonance-free, sealed subwoofer enclosure specifically designed to get the best performance out of Dayton Audio's 12" Ultimax subwoofer. All that's left to do is finish it to match your decor or paint it to stand out.

About the subwoofer
the UM12-22 Ultimax 12" driver from Dayton Audio offers over 19mm Xmax.

The 12" Nomex honeycomb composite cone features a fiberglass cloth outer skin for ultimate rigidity and resistance, while the "tall-boy" rubber surround with integral gasket supports extreme excursion with linearity and durability. Dual center spiders are mirror-imaged to keep excursion completely linear and eliminate distortion due to compliance asymmetry, and for extremely low mechanical distortion even at the outer limits of movement. And the whole is perfectly aligned by a rigid die-cast aluminum basket, for stability in any mounting position.
