About the Case
This enclosure was specifically designed for the Dayton Audio 12" RSS subwoofer.
During the CNC manufacturing process, rebates and joints are cut into the back panel to precisely align the boards. A unique two-part brace provides superior rigidity without compromising the subwoofer's performance. Both side panels feature rebated extensions with cutouts to perfectly mount the first piece of the two-part, double-thick baffle.
The final result is a resonance-free, sealed subwoofer enclosure, specifically designed to get the best performance out of the 12" RSS315HFA-8 subwoofer from Dayton Audio. All that remains to be done is to finish it to match your decor or paint it to stand out.

Über the subwoofer
The subwoofers of the Dayton Audio Reference Series continue the quality and performance of the highly praised RS line into the realm of subwoofers. As with the other models of the Reference Series, the main focus of the 12" driver RSS315HFA-8 is on extremely low distortion. Secondary, tertiary, and intermodulation distortions are kept extremely low by the use of three magnetic shorting paths within the motor structure. A durable aramid fiber spider and extensive ventilation openings ensure quiet and smooth excursion. The black anodized cone, rubber surround, and custom-made basket give this driver a unique high-end look. Choose this High Fidelity (HF) version for home speaker systems if you value clean, deep bass and are not restricted by enclosure size.
