Surface exciter technology provides a universal, cost-effective alternative to loudspeakers, allowing for sound reproduction virtually anywhere it is desired. Issues such as weather, space constraints, vandalism or visibility can be avoided or minimized with the use of a sound exciter. Dayton Audio IMS™ Interchangeable Mount exciters may be used in a host of DIY executions to easily add sound to an existing non-audio specific project or create a portable speaker system, the unique mounting system even allows you to try out the assortment of exciters offered by Dayton Audio!
Dayton Audio's 25 mm EX25VT2-4 IMS™ coin type exciter features the ability to turn nearly any surface into a speaker, this exciter's small size enables audio reproduction in places never imagined: toys, monitors, cabinet doors... even windows! A neodymium magnet is employed to create maximum magnetic flux around the proprietary voice coil for increased sensitivity when compared to similar-sized exciters. In turn, this reduces power requirements and makes it possible to use very small audio amplifiers, without sacrificing total output. The 1" voice coil, and cooling vents, allows for more input power for higher output applications while maintaining a slim-line form factor.
Exclusive IMS™ Interchangeable Mounting System
With Dayton Audio's exclusive IMS™ interchangeable mounting system, you can try out many different configurations, placements, and exciters to find the best combination for your project. Each exciter comes with a threaded mounting pad that can be permanently installed anywhere. Installation is easy, simply remove the pad from the exciter assembly, mount the pad to your project with 2 screws or with the 3M VHB™ Adhesive, and screw the exciter assembly back onto the pad! The non-destructive nature of the interchangeable mount allows you to A/B different exciters or swap non-functional units out in the field without risking damage to your project or exciters.

Mit dem exklusiven IMS™-Montagesystem von Dayton Audio können Sie viele verschiedene Konfigurationen,
Platzierungen und Erreger ausprobieren, um die beste Kombination für Ihr Projekt zu finden. Jeder Erreger
wird mit einem Montagepad mit Gewinde geliefert, das überall fest installiert werden kann. Die
Installation ist einfach: Entfernen Sie das Pad von der Erregerbaugruppe, befestigen Sie das Pad mit 2
Schrauben oder mit dem 3M VHB™-Kleber an Ihrem Projekt und schrauben Sie die Erregerbaugruppe wieder auf
das Pad! Die zerstörungsfreie Art der austauschbaren Halterung ermöglicht es Ihnen, verschiedene Erreger
zu kombinieren oder nicht funktionierende Einheiten vor Ort auszutauschen, ohne eine Beschädigung Ihres
Projekts oder der Erreger zu riskieren.
