Apart 180 HSB

Apart 180 HSB

The Apart 180 HBS, another offshoot from Thorsten Fischer's idea for the new Dayton Audio Chassis Series Signature. Theo Winterscheid and Thomas Ahlersmeyer were equally enthusiastic about the concept, so the development for the Apart 180 went to HiFi Selbstbau. Just like the choice of chassis, the housing concept and design were also adopted. In the development of the crossover, the ICY Medien team took their usual time and effort. The result is coherent, despite different developers of the series.
The Apart180 is certainly the more mature version, no, fully grown. It powerfully delivers low tones and bass with authority and precision, transporting them deep and rumbling towards the ear canal. The tonal gene of the Signature series is also inherent in the SIG180-4, and its powerful bass capability is by no means all it offers. It delivers midrange with faithful color and homogeneity, perfectly suited to every music genre. The GRS PT2522C-4 ribbon tweeter shines with its large surface, stress-free, elegant, and detail-oriented. Additionally, it offers enough reserves for personal adaptation to room conditions, even in heavily dampened rooms, it can still illuminate tonally. The harmoniously lowest crossover frequency ensures seamless integration. Even in terms of macro dynamics, the Apart180HSB proves to have real resilience. The Apart180HSB fits seamlessly into the Apart series, thus complementing a range that has something suitable for every HiFi enthusiast. That it is also affordable is another convincing argument in our view.
